No. This is independent study material, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration. The app does not administer, proctor, or score the real knowledge tests; those are given at FAA-approved testing centers. What this app does is get you ready for them.
Every flashcard and practice question was written from the FAA's public-domain Aviation Maintenance Technician Handbooks (FAA-H-8083-30B General, FAA-H-8083-31A Airframe, FAA-H-8083-32B Powerplant) and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Each card and each question shows the handbook section it was checked against, so you can open the handbook and confirm any fact yourself. The handbooks are free downloads from faa.gov.
No. This is a study aid for the written tests. Nothing in it is approved data for performing maintenance. The manufacturer's current maintenance manual and the applicable regulations always govern actual work on an aircraft.
It is a good signal, not a guarantee. The mock exams use the same question counts, time limits, and 70 percent pass mark as the real tests, and draw questions by subject in the same proportions the FAA publishes. A comfortable pass here means you know the material. The real test is proctored and stressful in a way an app cannot reproduce, so take several mocks, not one.
Progress is stored on your device only, so it does not survive deleting the app, resetting the device, or moving to a new phone without restoring a backup. If it vanished without any of those, that is a bug and we want to hear about it โ tell us what you did just before it happened.
Tell us, and please include the question or card text (there is a "Report a problem" link under every explanation, and a "Report a content error" link in Settings). Every item was checked against the handbook by two independent review passes, but the material is detailed and we would rather fix a mistake than defend it.
Most people take General first, since the Airframe and Powerplant tests assume it. You can take the three tests in any order, but all three written tests, the oral, and the practical have to be completed within a 24-month window. The app's "Taking the real exam" guide walks through the authorization routes and scheduling.
