Write to hello@magnetmates.app and describe what happened. Include your device model and iOS version if you can — it usually cuts the back-and-forth in half.
No. This is independent study material, not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Restaurant Association. We do not sell, administer, proctor, or issue the exam or any certificate. You buy and take the real exam through ServSafe and its authorised providers, and the certificate comes from them. What this app does is get you ready for it.
It's a good signal, not a guarantee. The mock exams are built to the same domain weightings as the real blueprint and marked at the same 75% line, so a comfortable pass here means you know the material. But the real exam is proctored, timed, and stressful in a way an app cannot reproduce. Take several mocks, not one.
Progress is stored on your device only, so it does not survive deleting the app, resetting the device, or moving to a new phone without restoring a backup. If it vanished without any of those, that is a bug and we want to hear about it — tell us what you did just before it happened.
Tell us, and please include the question text. Every fact in the app traces to a single reference file built from the FDA Food Code, and every question has been checked against it twice — but the material is detailed and we would rather fix a mistake than defend it. Note that local rules sometimes differ from the Food Code; where your health department is stricter, follow your health department.
If you handle food on the line, it is almost always the Food Handler certificate. If you are the person in charge of a shift or a kitchen, it is usually the Food Protection Manager certification. Your employer or your county health department decides which one you need — check with them before paying for anything, because requirements vary by state and even by county.
Not yet. Food Handler 101 is iPhone and iPad only for now. A web version is in the works and Android is under consideration — if you want either one, write and say so, because that is genuinely how the order gets decided.
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly because we never handle the payment.
These matter more than bugs. If a temperature, time, or concentration in this app is wrong, someone could carry that mistake into a real kitchen. Send the exact wording and where you saw it, and it gets fixed in the next release.
